Arsene Wenger Rubbishes Reports Linking Jonny Evans To Arsenal

Evans' impressive showings for West Brom last season certainly didn't go unnoticed on the part of the English top-flight's biggest sides, with Manchester City and Arsenal having both expressed an interest in the Baggies' star during the summer. Evans is thought to favour a move back to the north west of England, where his family are based.

Evans had only to accept terms and pass the medical to become an Arsenal player but for a player of Evans age, the allure of playing for the best club in the Country was something that was obviously too hard to ignore.
