Data rates fall further as Jio intensifies war

These are the price points of the 1GB data per day plan, meaning consumers are essentially getting 50 percent more data at roughly the same price.

Reliance Jio is once again ready with its exciting new year plan. However, in most of the circles such as Bihar, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, etc., the company is still offering old plans.

Jio's existing prepaid recharge plans that offer 1GB data per day (like Rs. 309, Rs. 399, Rs. 459, Rs. 499 and other plans) will soon be enhanced with two additional offers.

Vodafone Offers More Data, Validity With Rs. 458 and Rs. 509 Plans as Jio Cuts Prices

If the users recharge with Rs 398 pack, they will get 105 GB data on the offer for a validity of 70 days which is approximately double of the current 70 GB data given.

Airtel also revised its Rs 799 prepaid plan last week.

The company is all set for the new offers and reports are coming that soon users are going to get the benefits. The pack offers unlimited voice calls and national free roaming.

Google announces Google Pay to replace Android Pay and Google Wallet
After years of brainstorming - Google finally has had the genius idea of unifying both these platforms under a single brand. Now, it has been rebranded for the third time, as Google Pay - a branding Google (and we) hopes sticks.

Jio is the fourth largest telecom operator across the country, with the combined share of the top four being 27.7%. The first one on the chopping block is Jio's Rs 199 tariff which will now go for just Rs 149.

Rs 198 plan: Jio now offers more data on this.

The free-calling benefit is unchanged on this plan, but users must note that if the limit is exhausted, calls will be charged at 30 paise per minute. Airtel has increased its validity from 84 days to 91 days. In short, customers can avail 1GB data per day in addition to unlimited calling and SMS for that duration. The plan also offers unlimited local and STD calls with unlimited SMS. Under this offer, customers will get 84GB of 4G data with a daily cap of 1GB data.

American Red Cross In Need Of Blood Donors, Officials Say
O-negative, the universal blood type that's always in high demand, can be given to patients of any blood type. Eligible donors must be in good health, at least 17 years old and weigh at least 115 pounds.

Given that Airtel's revised plans are slightly costlier than what Jio offers now, it makes no sense for users to switch networks. Apart from the change in validity, all other plans remain the same.
