Women of Hollywood join forces to combat sexual harassment with Time's Up

This followed a letter of solidarity from 700,000 female Latina farmworkers who expressed their support for those in the entertainment industry who suffered sexual harassment and abuse in the workplace - a reality they said they know "far too well".

The Time's Up website details and defines what sexual harassment is, and what to do if it happens to you.

Supermoon tomorrow, a blue moon on January 31; sea surge expected
It appears a bit brighter than a standard full moon, although weather conditions play a bigger role in its visibility. This makes the moon appears a lot bigger and brighter compared to a normal full moon.

The letter, which is aimed at "every woman. who has had to fend off sexual advances", goes on to say that such harassment can often continue because "perpetrators and employers never face any consequences". We stand with you. It will be housed and administrated by the National Women's Law Center, and now has more than $13 million in donations.

In a sense, Time's Up is being launched as a companion to the #MeToo movement that grew out of the spontaneous response to revelations about Hollywood's "casting-couch" system of sexual predation and enduring gender-pay disparities.

Shonda Rhimes-a leading member of the effort and executive producer of several television series, including "Grey's Anatomy" and "How to Get Away With Murder"-says a key component of the effort was making sure that women in those more vulnerable situations and without the name recognition of famous actresses or directors were made central to the effort". As the New York Times reported, the plan may have just been unveiled but the celebrities had teamed up not long after the sexual misconduct allegations surfaced against disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein - one of many powerful men who fell from grace in 2017 after their alleged victims found the courage to come forward and share their stories.

The newspaper also listed Ashley Judd, Eva Longoria, America Ferrera, Natalie Portman, Rashida Jones, Emma Stone, Kerry Washington, Jennifer Lawrence and Reese Witherspoon among the initiative's supporters.

The organisation arose from informal gatherings of women talent agents in Los Angeles who starting meeting after the issue of sexual harassment landed like a bombshell on the entertainment industry in October.
