Arizona Woman Wakes Up With Foreign Accent

Three times in the past seven years, she has gone to sleep with blinding headaches only to wake up with a different accent. "I started noticing that when I tried to talk and say something, my tongue felt like it wasn't right", Myers said when she started speaking with an Irish accent in September 2011.

It was proven that Myers is not insane nor is she faking her changing accents. She suffers from Foreign Accent Syndrome, which is a rare condition that is usually associated with a stroke, neurological damage or another underlying health issue.

"I have been diagnosed with hemiplegic migraines - meaning my headaches are accompanied by temporary weakness on one side of the body and numbness", she told the United Kingdom outlet.

Myers also has Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, a condition that causes bruising and painful joints - and it turned her accent British.

Iran rejects reports of Israel downing Iranian drone as ridiculous
Israel says the situation started with an Iranian drone crossing into its territory from Syria at around 4:30 a.m. According to Orden, the Israelis managed not to hit any crucial Syrian or Iranian assets in the area.

Myers can't pronounce her children's names the same, has been mistaken for a nanny and asked if she has a green card, The Sun reports.

Myers has another condition that could also be linked to her changing accents.

According to the University of Texas, Foreign Accent Syndrome is "a speech disorder that causes a sudden change to speech so that a native speaker is perceived to speak with a foreign accent and is most often caused by damage to the brain caused by a stroke or traumatic brain injury". She's now trying to find treatment for the condition.

With no further symptoms, she put the incident to the back of her mind, until it happened again three years later. In 2016, Lisa Alamia from Texas found her accent has changed to British after waking up from a jaw surgery.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger refuses to prioritise Europa League
Chelsea winger Eden Hazard played a starring role in our Premier League title victory last season. It is hard to win every year. "It was a game we couldn't afford to lose", the Frenchman said.

Foreign Accent Syndrome was first documented in 1907 by Pierre Marie, a French neurologist. Talking with foreign accents have had notable effects on her well-being, as a crucial part of her identity goes through a frequent flux.

"I'm sad", she said, watching an old video of her speaking normally. I feel like myself, it's just it comes out differently. There have been cases where FAS has resolved on its own within a couple of months or years, but other cases have evolved and the condition can be permanent, as seems to be the case for Myers.

"Some people think it's physiological; others think it's psychological", she told the station. "And if I say odd things like 'I'm just going to the loo, ' it's really weird, as I sound just like a Brit".

"The person I am now has been through so much, compared to the person here".

Swansea's Ki impressed by Carvalhal impact
The young central defender has now played in 50 consecutive Premier League matches, a longer run than any other player at present. Rooted to the bottom of the Premier League with 13 points from 20 games, it looked as if the only way was down.
