Over the course of a console's life, it's all but guaranteed to get new features, interface overhauls, and tweaks to make it more user-friendly.

In a new blog post on the official PlayStation Blog, Sony detailed the features included with the new firmware update, codenamed "KEIJI".

For families, Sony is adding Play Time Management. In addition to monitoring your child's playtime each day (accessible via your PC or smartphone), you'll be able to apply playtime restrictions, such as when or how much time your child can play each day.

Just keep in mind that, similar to when playing a game locally on PS4, background music may not always be available.

The Tournaments team page will be customizable with users' own team logo or background imported from a USB stick.

Play-time management: This utility is geared more to parents, or players who can't control their habit. Now, the multinational video game company has chose to officially reveal the contents of the next update, which is set to introduce several changes and refinements in the console's user interface, as well as a supersampling mode for the PlayStation 4 Pro that assists those who don't have a TV that supports 4K resolution. Some games already have supersampling, so this feature is for those without the option.
