'A new tradition': Auburn embraces March Madness bid

'A new tradition': Auburn embraces March Madness bid

Although Auburn enters the NCAA tournament with a solid early and midseason resume of wins against Arkansas and Tennessee, the Tigers recently hit a wall when they needed consistency most, dropping four of their last six games.

On Sunday evening, his prediction came true as Auburn earned its first NCAA Tournament berth since 2003 by being named the No. 4 seed in the Midwest Region.

March Madness will take the Tigers to San Diego to play against New Mexico State on Friday.

College of Charleston (24-7) earned its first bid to the NCAA Tournament since 1999 by winning the Colonial Athletic Association Championship, 83-76, over Northeastern this past Tuesday. They also won 11 games in the Southern Conference during the 1951-52 season.

Technical issue causes huge delays at Sydney Airport
A spokeswoman for Brisbane Airport told the Courier Mail security screens were closed for 30 minutes after the breach. Passengers said they had been waiting for nearly two hours as the departure lounge was cordoned off.

"I did feel like this team could go to the NCAA Tournament", Pearl said. We have to hit the reset button and play how we can, and we shouldn't have a problem at all.

The Aggies already have a win over an Atlantic Coast Conference team, Miami, this year. "We're going to take advantage of every opportunity we have".

Interestingly enough, I think it's a doable road for Clemson basketball. The Tigers are 23-9 this season.

The selection ends the third-longest active NCAA Tournament drought among major conference teams behind Rutgers (since 1991) and TCU (since 1998).

No. 13 Tennessee flies past Arkansas, plays in championship Sunday
While diving for a loose ball, Schofield was hit in the face and was examined in the locker room for a reported nose injury. The second free throw fell off the right side of the rim, where Wenyen Gabriel was waiting to put it back in for the lead.

The Aggies are in their 24th all-time NCAA Tournament and made the Final Four once, in 1970. "I know all of us are comfortable where we are and the matchups that we have that we'll be able to advance". The Cougars are coached by Earl Grant and led on the floor by guards Grant Riller and Joe Chealey and forward Jarrell Brantley, who are averaging 18.7, 18.5 and 17.0 points per game, respectively.

"You're gonna have to play good basketball to win games now and that's the way it should be".

"We haven't went contact, live contact in a good minute. I'll continue to say it: Whoever beats this team, they're going to have to knock them out because this team has developed a toughness about them". To this team's credit, we fixed a lot that was ailing us.

"I think a risky team on this board is New Mexico State", Davis daid.

West Ham fans invaded pitch after 3-0 defeat
The Football Association has "strongly condemned" the crowd disturbances during West Ham's match against Burnley this afternoon. Again, everybody knows that you don't cross the line, you don't come on the pitch - that's the rules.
