Jamie Carragher spits at 14-year-old fan of Manchester United

Despite the incessant banter and jibes they share Neville was quick to jump Carragher's support today after the former Liverpool defender's day from hell.

Carragher issued a second apology on Monday, having spoken to the family involved on Sunday night after he was filmed spitting out of his auto when taunted by the man following United's 2-1 victory over Liverpool.

After Sky announced his suspension, Carragher described it as "a moment of madness and not representative of the real me", according to Sky Sports News.

Carragher was driving home after Manchester United's win over Liverpool at Old Trafford when he apparently became involved in a conversation with the occupants of an adjacent auto.

Carragher who could yet still be sacked from the broadcaster, has been suspended indefinitely by the company after he was caught spitting at a 14 year old girl.
