Technical issue causes huge delays at Sydney Airport

A security incident is causing significant delays at Brisbane Airport's global terminal.

"We are experiencing outbound delays while we fix this technical issue which we're working to rectify as quickly as we can", she said. "And some of those systems we use to make sure the airport's secure".

Inbound flights and Qantas flights from T3 remain unaffected.

As reported by ABC News, technical issues affected passenger processing at the airport's T1 global terminal and T2 Domestic terminal until about 8:30AM when Sydney Airport said that systems were back up and running, and that is was processing passengers again.

A spokeswoman for Brisbane Airport told the Courier Mail security screens were closed for 30 minutes after the breach.
