Assemblywoman Shavonda Sumter on Equal Pay Day

Gov. Phil Murphy announced Tuesday he will sign legislation that bolsters equal pay laws in New Jersey.

Murphy, a Democrat who campaigned for equal pay, wanted to sign the measure Tuesday to coincide with the holiday. Most states conform with the two-year look back set by the Lilly Ledbetter Act.
