Carrie Underwood Open Letter Announces New Single, Health Update

After sharing the image, the Academy of Country Music revealed that Underwood will take the stage at the upcoming ACM Awards to perform a brand new single.

"Physically, I'm doing pretty darn good these days", Underwood, 35, wrote on her blog on Tuesday.

"My wrist is nearly back to normal, about 90 percent there ..." "And my face has been healing pretty nicely as well". But seriously, I do wish more publications would just celebrate women's success without pitting them against each other...

She said she is coproducing her new album with writer/producer David Garcia, whom she called "an awesome teacher and partner".
