Gmail to soon receive 'Confidential Mode' and 'Self-Destructing' Emails

Gmail to soon receive 'Confidential Mode' and 'Self-Destructing' Emails

In conclusion, the new surprising Gmail feature, Confidential Mode, will permit users to encrypt their sensitive emails so they won't be accessed by third-parties. According to a new leak, Google is also working on a new feature that will enable users to send emails which expire after a specified time, a Self Destructing Email. "You can also ask your recipient to confirm their identity with a passcode sent via text message". Snooze and Smart Reply are both currently part of Google's Inbox app for Gmail, and both features are now making their way to Gmail on the web. This will likely make Gmail easier to load and use, and will also bring new features to the popular open email platform. The report describes that on the recipient's side, the person used the existing version of Gmail and received a link to view the confidential email. Google, if rumors are right, working on enhanced confidential mode, which will allow the recording of the email as well.

Google is now testing how Chrome extensions work with the new Gmail display. The message behind the link disappears after some time, but this doesn't mean that the intermediate email also disappears. Earlier in the week, we learned that Google has a redesign of the Gmail web interface arrivingfor G Suite and regular users in the coming weeks. If an email is sent in confidential mode, the recipient won't be able to forward email content, download, copy and paste, or print the email. From Android phones to what we watch on YouTube, even our work and personal email are mostly done through Google's Gmail service.

But the move has sparked concerns about news stories and other previously public information being hidden.

Still, in the wake of data privacy scandals like Facebook's recent Cambridge Analytica incident, it's nice to see companies like Google offering their users extra privacy features.

Just as most smartphone cameras now allow users to focus on a single object among many, it may soon be possible to pick out individual voices in a crowd by suppressing all other sounds, thanks to a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) system developed by Google researchers.

Google researchers have developed a deep learning system that can pick out specific voices by looking at people's faces when they're speaking.
