Phil Mickelson leaves Augusta with regrets

Lefty came into Augusta with a shade of momentum after winning his first tournament in almost five years when defeating Justin Thomas in a playoff to claim World Golfing Championship in Mexico, in March, but a 79 in round 2 all but killed his chances of claiming a fourth green jacket this weekend.

TIGER WOODS finally had something to celebrate at the Masters - he closed with a 69 and beat old rival Phil Mickelson by a shot! And not only does he attempt one of the toughest shots in golf, he executes it to perfection.

The 27-year-old American, competing in his fifth Masters, had never broken 70 at Augusta National prior to this week but has been almost untouchable and his 14 under total is only four shots off the tournament's record-winning score.

"I'm going to take a little break for sure", he said.

Making up the numbers is uncharted territory and Mickelson's post-round comments were tinged with sadness.

He knows opportunities to add to his Major haul will be few and far between and he must wait until Shinnecock Hills in June to see if he can get the final leg of the career Grand Slam.

They remember him for a 2003-2010 presidency that saw tens of millions lifted from poverty and Brazil rise on the world stage. Separate groups of Lula Da Silva's supporters and opponents gathered outside the Curitiba Federal Police department.
