While most of today's features are focused on streamlining Gmail on the web, Google is introducing a high-priority notification settings for mobile users that drastically cuts down on push notifications. The smart replies feature found in the Gmail mobile app, which lets you reply to messages faster by using preset responses, is also coming to the web version. Click on attachments-like photos-without opening or scrolling through large conversations, use the new snooze button to put off emails that you just can't get to right now or easily access other apps you use often, like Google Calendar, Tasks and Keep. Tasks, another current Google tool, is getting a new design both on the web and in its Android/iOS apps, with the ability to drag an email into the Tasks window and create an automatic to-do list. "The users will need to visit the Gmail webpage and then they simply need to click on the cog wheel and then click on the 'Try the New Gmail" option. G Suite business customers can be among the first to use the new Gmail by opting in to Google's Early Adopter Program and personal users can switch over through the settings tab.

A new Confidential Mode is perhaps the biggest security/privacy investment out of this batch of announcements. You'll be able to continue working in Gmail even when offline, and the changes will be synced the next time go online.

The Nudging feature in Gmail reminds you to follow up or reply to messages.

Today the company expanded on that capability by extending that from its mobile app to Gmail on the web browser, as well as bringing its smart capabilities to bear on problems like the daily email deluge.
