Tour bus crashes on way to Masters Tournament; driver facing DUI charge

A tour bus headed to the Masters tournament flipped over on a Georgia interstate Thursday, injuring 15 people and snarling traffic as scores of fans made the pilgrimage to one of golf's premier events.

Authorities in east Georgia report a bus carrying 19 people has flipped on I-20 closing all eastbound lanes fo traffic. He "ran off the right side of the road, and the driver then overcorrected to the left, causing the bus to turn over in the median", the state patrol said.

The Augusta Chronicle reported that seven adult passengers were transported to Augusta University Medical Center, a Level 1 trauma center.

Five of the 14 passengers taken a hospital in nearby Augusta have serious injuries, CBS affiliate KRDW reports. Doctors Hospital reports that their trauma services team was activated at 9:04 a.m. and is treating nine patients whose conditions range from critical to good.

The lawsuit deems the move to add a citizenship question as an "unconstitutional and arbitrary decision". According to the office, the lawsuit filed is brought under the Enumeration Clause of the U.S.

Eighteen passengers traveling from Atlanta were on board, the state patrol said.

Official said none of their injuries appeared to be life-threatening.

The bus with 18 people on-board was on its way to the Augusta National Golf Club.

The bus driver has been charged with DUI.

Jet Executive Limousine Inc., the company that owns the bus, told CNN on Thursday morning it had no statement on the accident at this time.
