Trump spends a second day incorrectly linking 'caravans' to DACA

Trump spends a second day incorrectly linking 'caravans' to DACA

On Monday, Trump widened his attack, tweeting: "DACA is dead because the Democrats didn't care or act, and now everyone wants to get onto the DACA bandwagon ..."

President Donald Trump railed against immigrants, Mexico, and Democrats in a series of tweets on Sunday and Monday that suggested a caravan of immigrants reportedly traveling toward the USA are trying to take advantage of a program they would not qualify for.

Democrats had offered at one point to fully fund the wall Trump wants along the U.S. Judd also said Congress needs to pass tougher laws, an idea Trump appeared to echo, and create more bed space for immigration authorities to house people.

Despite Trump's overtures to congressional Democrats on immigration, no deal has materialized. "Act now Congress, our country is being stolen!"

The Daca -Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals- is a scheme providing protected status to those who entered the United States illegally as children. The president continued to double down in a follow-up tweet, calling on Republicans in Congress to use the "nuclear option" to bypass the Democrats and start construction on his border wall.

Kane Williamson to replace David Warner as Sunrisers Hyderabad captain
IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla says Indian officials subsequently extended the ban to their lucrative Twenty20 league. New Balance, which sponsors Steve Smith but not the Australian cricket team, would not comment on Wednesday.

As many noticed, the tweet came after Fox & Friends ran a segment on 1,200 people who are seeking asylum in Mexico City, speculating about whether "two-thirds" of them would come to the US via "caravans".

Trump wrote: "Mexico is doing very little, if not NOTHING, at stopping people from flowing into Mexico through their Southern Border, and then into the U.S. They laugh at our dumb immigration laws".

In two more tweets Sunday morning, Trump threatened to dismantle the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), which he called Mexico's "cash cow", if the country doesn't reduce the flow of immigrants coming across the southern USA border.

The BuzzFeed report notes that "no one has made any effort to stop" the migrants as they travel through Mexico without authorization.

"A lot of people are coming in because they want to take advantage of DACA, and we're going to have to really see".

Repeat performance for Irish's Ogunbowale
This time, in the title game Sunday night, she cut it a bit closer - this time allowing the Bulldogs one-10th of a second. McGraw also instructed Jackie Young and Ogunbowale to handle the ball more while Mabrey shifted to the wing.

Those traveling with the caravan are not eligible for DACA - instead, many likely plan to turn themselves into USA custody at the border, asking for asylum.

But conflating youths fleeing to the United States in search of a better life with "dangerous" immigrants is not likely to convince Latino voters that the Republicans are with them, as Trump has claimed. "It can't happen that way anymore". With a filthy horde of "caravan immigrants" heading straight through Mexico to the US, Trump has called for a national security solution. But the caravan has nothing to do with DACA - the roughly 1,200 people marching mostly from Honduras are seeking political asylum. New DACA applications are not being accepted.

The president's position on DACA has frequently shifted. "I do love the Dreamers", Trump said at the annual Gridiron Club Dinner in March.

Those enrolled in DACA had pinned their hopes on Democrats, who had continuously promised to win permanent legal status for them. For the past five years, the organization has led a procession of people across borders and up through Mexico towards the United States. "Sinclair is far superior to CNN and even more Fake NBC, which is a total joke". "Also, our fully tax paying retailers are closing stores all over the country...not a level playing field!"

Trump - who has spent his time in Palm Beach hanging out with family, playing golf with friends and watching television - may have tweeted in response to commentary on Fox News, which he is known to view regularly.

Initial Egypt Election Results Show Landslide Win for Incumbent Sissi
At a news conference, election commission official, Mahmud al-Sherif, said there had been no violations of Egypt's election law. Sisi's only challenger and al Ghad party chief Moussa Mostafa Moussa was able to get only three per cent of vote share.

ABC News, citing a Kremlin aide's comments to a Russian news outlet, reported the subject of a possible meeting in Washington, D.C., came during Trump's congratulatory call to Putin, who was re-elected as Russian president several days before.
