Conte 'committed' to Chelsea, but…

Manager Antonio Conte has already warned Chelsea they "don't have a chance" of beating Manchester United at Wembley on Saturday, in what is expected be his last game as manager, if there is not a big improvement.

Manager Antonio Conte made eight changes with the final in mind and saw an unimpressive performance.

Newcastle comfortably beat Chelsea at St James' Park.

Dwight Gayle scored the opening goal in the first half and Spanish striker Ayoze Perez added the second and third after the break.

"In this case, what the players did last season, and what they have done this year, was massive".

"I'd certainly like to think people gave their all today, and to not do so would be extremely disappointing", Cahill was quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

"I am committed for this club, for me this is important".

Chelsea needed a victory at Newcastle to have any chance of fulfilling their slim hopes of a top four finish, but they were well below par and ended with 23 fewer points than their title-winning campaign 12 months ago.

"But you know, we have one game to go, he's very focused on preparing the game in the best possible way".

"I have a contract and the club know very well the situation".

"I would like to thank Rafa Benitez for his magnificent achievement this season", said Ashley.

"I hope he can stay on as well, I hope he stays".

The Spaniard, who has a year left on his contract, has been critical of Newcastle's poor transfer dealings throughout the season.

He said: "I just think Conte has shot himself in the foot, the way he come up in his press conferences, immediately he couldn't get the players he wanted".

"It's great, I think it's good (if Conte is still in charge)", Di Matteo told Sky Sports.

'For this I am the first person to answer for this as I am the coach of this team and I am the first person to answer for this game'.

"He has been so good at what he does I've nearly run out of things to say about this player", Crooks told BBC Sport.
