Have the Celtics made another offer for Kawhi Leonard?

The Celtics and Spurs had a "brief" trade discussion Wednesday, but "there was no real negotiation", according to Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald.

In the reporting, Deveney cites a league executive saying that "he expects James to sign with the Lakers, even before the team remakes its roster" even in the midst of buzz that James is communicating with other top-tier players about a partnership.

That has sent L.A.'s front office into a race to find a way to work out a trade with the San Antonio Spurs for Leonard before Friday's deadline for LeBron and other players to decide whether they will opt out of their contracts for next season.

John Stones also scored two and Jesse Lingard scored England's third goal. I just thought we were a little anxious at the start.

The Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers have also made offers for Leonard, but they are able to low ball San Antonio because trading for him would have the chance of being a one-year rental.

Leonard, who can become an unrestricted free agent next summer, missed all but nine games last season due to a quad injury.

Tragic Johnson II just might be released this summer. According to Sam Amick of USA Today Sports, San Antonio does not want to trade Leonard within the Western Conference. The Celtics were not there.

USA suspending more training exercises with S. Korea: Pentagon
Repeating North Korean arguments, Trump said the games were "provocative" to Pyongyang and added that they were "very expensive". Kim's visit to Beijing and economic activities across the border between China and North Korea should be watched in this regard.

The price of making a Leonard deal happen could be a steep one for the Lakers. This one chronicles his rise to National Basketball Association stardom - including his 2014 injury, his time in IN, his eventual trade to Oklahoma City, and more. The team did not make a hard push to trade for him a year ago because of that thought, which could now backfire in more ways than one.

It is true that the Spurs have no leverage whatsoever, because the sense is that Leonard is not going to play for them again.

LeBron James, right, might be hoping to have Kawhi Leonard on his side this season.

Football star Mo Salah scored first within the first 25 minutes, marking Egypt's fourth ever goal at the World Cup . Saudi Arabia finished Group A in third place with three points, while Egypt was last after losing all three games.

The possibility of the Spurs looking at an Aldridge trade to follow a Kawhi deal was first raised on Bill Simmons' podcast this week, with guest Kevin O'Connor.
