Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp feared the issue could rule Salah out of the World Cup, which starts in just under three weeks, but the player posted a positive message on Twitter on Sunday.

In a shock announcement, Zinedine Zidane said on Thursday that he is quitting as the manager of Spanish club Real Madrid, five days after winning the UEFA Champions League title for the record third time.

With Salah's World Cup participation put in doubt, Ramos has come in for fierce criticism.

The 25-year-old's 95th-minute goal in the final qualification match took Egypt to the doors of World Cup glory after a period of 28 years.

But the Pharaohs start their World Cup in Group A on June 15 against Uruguay, before facing Russian Federation, host country, on June 19, and Saudi Arabia on June 25.

Salah was pulled down by Real Madrid's Sergio Ramos and fell awkwardly on his left shoulder.
