Thomas, who said he's not personally a fan of President Trump, noted that Harry urged him to give the president "a chance" and said that Harry was willing to see how the Brexit "experiment" played out.

The father of the Duchess of Sussex was propelled into the global spotlight after staging paparazzi photos before the royal wedding, an incident he described as a mistake. I sort of disagreed with that but I still like Harry.

"He was very keen in the interview to be very praiseworthy of Harry", he said. "We talked a few times about Donald Trump and Brexit and things like that". There was no real commitment for it. Harry said "I've got one of my military friends to look after you".

It's also worth noting that President Trump has been publicly opposed to the deal since he was on the campaign trail. The ruling could open the floodgates to deal-making in the fast-changing entertainment and video-content worlds.

Kensington Palace declined to comment on the interview or the astonishing claims, but there is little doubt that the new Duke and Duchess of Sussex have again been left humiliated by the continuing Markle family soap opera.
