NBA Draft Attendees Reportedly Expected to Be Exclusively College Prospects

Before his college career began, Porter was largely considered the top prospect for the draft but that was before he lost almost his entire freshman season to injuries.

The Kings and other teams picking in the top 10 were supposed to watch Porter workout Friday in Chicago. Citing sources, ESPN reports that Porter couldn't even get out of bed because of muscle spasms.

Porter Jr. had an MRI and will be evaluated again Thursday night, according to a document obtained by ESPN that was distributed to National Basketball Association teams. While he reportedly felt only about 50 percent physically, he had an impressive showing, according to multiple teams in attendance, as he shot the ball exceptionally well.

Porter only played in three games for Missouri as a freshman last season because of back surgery.

The NBA annually takes chances on talented players with legit concerns but if Porter slides in the draft, it will be because of injury concerns and not anything related to his character.

The workout is planned to be rescheduled, but there's no way to tell how another injury will impact Porter's stock.

The results of Porter's full medical examination, conducted by the Bulls, were eventually released to all National Basketball Association teams. Even if he's received a promise from someone near the top of the draft, Porter will want to make it clear to the entire National Basketball Association that his health will not be an issue.
