Seoul welcomes Trump's plan to have phone conversation with Kim Jong

U.S. President Donald Trump claims he has "largely solved" the crisis over Pyongyang's nuclear program after his historic summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

However 56% of respondents said it's too early to say whether the summit will mean a better relationship between the USA and North Korea.

US and South Korean forces have trained together for decades, and routinely rehearse everything from beach landings in the North to pre-emptive "decapitation" strikes targeting the North Korean regime.

"I hated it from the day I came in".

President Donald Trump says North Korea has started returning the remains of US soldiers missing during the Korean War. "Why aren't we being reimbursed?" he demanded, returning to his long-standing claim that U.S. allies like South Korea should repay the costs of their defense.

"Making unnecessary and unreciprocated concessions is not in our interests - and it is a bad negotiating tactic", Republican Senator John McCain said.

Trump also issued a video message Friday, defending the nuclear agreement and saying the US must pursue a chance to avert nuclear conflict "at all costs". "The people of America, the people of the Koreas, the people of world deserve a future of security and of peace", Trump said in a video message on Friday.

Mysterious ‘sonic attacks’ prompt evacuation of 2 more USA staff from China
On Thursday, China's Foreign Ministry said invesstigators looked into the case after being told about the first incident. The issue resulted in United States expelling many Cuban diplomats.

Mr Trump challenged the criticism of the vague joint statement, and said North Korea had started returning the remains of United States soldiers missing during the Korean War.

The experts are right, but they do not see this situation as necessarily a cause for panic, after all, more evenly matched pairs of nuclear powers, like India and Pakistan, or the United States and Russian Federation, have managed to avoid nuclear war for decades.

"I don't want to see a nuclear weapon destroy you and your family".

But the president has fawned so much about Kim since their meeting, you might wonder if he is simply flattering a man with nuclear missiles or exalting the kind of leader he truly admires? If we did, millions of people would have been killed. Trump continued. "Seoul is 30 miles off the border".

When an unidentified reporter asked him why he was "defending Kim Jong Un's human rights records", Trump responded, "You know why?" Fox News has gotten greater access to Trump than any other news outlet throughout his campaign and presidency.

Analyst Hong Min at Seoul's Korea Institute for National Unification said critics of the joint statement signed by Trump and Kim are missing a bigger point.

"That's a very important thing". I can call him. "I gave him a very direct number". He can now call me if he has any difficulty.

Wendy's, Whataburger pile on insults for IHOP's 'IHOb' name change
IHOP's same-restaurant sales - or sales at locations open at least a year - declined 1.9 percent in its most recent fiscal year. Internet speculation had the "B" representing everything from breakfast , brunch, bananas, bacon, beer, booze and even bitcoin.

Trump went on to praise the "great chemistry" he had with Kim and listed what he considered to be his administration's accomplishments in containing the North Korean regime. "I think the issue of the exercises is a key issue for our alliance, and whatever we do about that will ensure that the very strong combined defense posture of the alliance is maintained". Nobody wants to report that.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., defended Trump's approach, saying Friday on CNN, "If he believes buttering the guy up will get rid of his nuclear weapons, butter him up".

"We have a really great relationship for the first time ever".

If North Korea has even a marginal ability to destroy one U.S. city with a nuclear weapon, the United States is effectively deterred from using nuclear weapons against it (except if the USA could count on destroying every one of Kim's nuclear-tipped missiles in a surprise first strike - but that's why North Korea will move them around or dig them in deep).

The challenge of defending the agreement became apparent earlier this week when Pompeo lashed out at a reporter asking how the USA would verify the North's compliance with the deal.

It can become whatever they want. "If you can do that at 27 years old, I mean, that's 1 in 10,000 that could do that".
