Trump to pardon Dinesh D'Souza

Trump to pardon Dinesh D'Souza

"Will be giving a Full Pardon to Dinesh D'Souza today", Mr. Trump tweeted.

On Thursday, the President announced his decision to pardon conservative commentator Dinesh D'Souza, who pleaded guilty to violating campaign finance law in 2014. "Worst news since their parents told them to get summer jobs", D'Souza wrote at the time. Though he claims that decision was not because of Comey's investigation into collusion between Russian Federation officials and Trump's 2016 presidential campaign, the commander-in-chief told NBC News in May that he considered "this Russian Federation thing" before firing.

I'll tell you another one - there is another one I'm thinking about.

D'Souza pleaded guilty to attempting to donate $20,000 to a Senate campaign through straw donors.

D'Souza pleaded guilty in 2014 to a straw-donor scheme created to benefit New York Republican candidate Wendy Long, who was trying to oust Democratic Sen.

D'Souza is the latest controversial right-wing figure to get a reprieve from the president.

Joao Sousa on EU General Data Protection Regulation
As a result of the regulation, several United States news outlets were temporarily unavailable in Europe, reported BBC. It is common for websites to use tracking software to gather information about visitors in order to better target ads.

Before he started making documentaries, D'Souza was a prominent conservative writer and pundit, and was briefly president of a Christian college in NY.

"I know you may find it hard to believe, but federal prosecutors are not political in the least". The FBI released a statement about the sentencing.

Most think that Stewart was found guilty of insider trading in 2004, but she was actually charged with conspiracy to obstruct justice and lying to the FBI, felonies that are central to the ongoing Mueller investigation.

Both had connections to Trump's "Celebrity Apprentice" reality television show: Blagojevich was a contestant in 2010 and Stewart hosted the 2005 spinoff series, "The Apprentice: Martha Stewart".

In any case, they conclude, the message behind the pardons should worry us "more than Mr. Trump clearing the record of some noxious clown".

White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said it was unfair to suggest the only people winning pardons under Trump are those connected to him or with a celebrity backer.

Where to Get Free Donuts and Deals on National Donut Day
Mike's Donuts , a Brooklyn-based shop, will offer special limited edition toppings including fruity pebbles and chocolate chips. It's actually happening but beware - There's only one free doughnut per customer while stocks last so you better be quick.

President George W. Bush later commuted Libby's 30-month prison sentence but didn't issue a pardon despite intense pressure from Cheney. Beneficiaries include controversial Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio, who had been convicted of criminal contempt of a court, and Scooter Lobby, a George W Bush White House staffer convicted in 2007 of leaking the identity of an undercover Central Intelligence Agency officer.

Take Stewart's pardon, for instance. Trump often mentioned Saucier's case on the campaign trail as he criticized his former Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, for her use of a private email server.

D'Souza claimed during the case that he was being unfairly prosecuted by federal prosecutors, but the judge ruled that he had provided no evidence to support this.

Some fellow conservatives, however, cheered Trump's move, including Sen.

Stewart managed to save herself more than $45,000 in 2001 by selling her shares in a company after receiving inside information - just a day before the stock lost one-sixth of its value.

"The president's ad hoc use of the pardon power is concerning enough".
