Bryce Harper headlines Home Run Derby (Harper wins 19-18)

Nats' right fielder Bryce Harper said at a press conference via NBC Washington that he hopes that he will be sticking around D.C. for the foreseeable future, largely for his love of Nationals manager Dave Martinez.

Bryce Harper of the Washington Nationals and National League hits his final home run to win the T-Mobile Home Run Derby at Nationals Park on July 16, 2018 in Washington, DC.

Because we live in a world overwhelmed by a surprising amount of free time, there is already a Change.org petition to have Harper's victory taken away.

Dude. The Home Run Derby has always been fun to me.

In the final round, Harper was trailing Kyle Schwarber of the Chicago Cubs 18-9 with about 50 seconds remaining.

Georgia Cops Suspended For Flipping Coin To Decide On Driver's Arrest
Cheryl Dorsey told IE she thinks this isn't the cops' first time doing this "because they did it easily ". Back in the patrol vehicle , officers Courtney Brown and Kristee Wilson faced a decision.

So, this is going to seem silly, but: what if that stretch was the norm?

The victor had six home runs that year. How many home runs would he hit?

Did you know there is an umpire for the Derby? Harper then hit the winning home run on the second pitch during his extra time.

This particular Home Run Derby is one that the Washington Nationals and Bryce Harper will remember forever.

Harper, Báez and Aguilar will both follow up their Home Run Derby appearances with positions on the National League's All-Star team.

Forget Prime Day, eBay is Giving Buyers 20% Off 20 Brands
Amazon was back up and running as usual Tuesday morning on the second day of the company's Prime Day (and a half) sales event. To keep with Amazon's prime day sale, Flipkart is also scheduled to host a sale starting from today onwards till July 19 .

Schwarber appeared to be down for the count in round 2 as he struggled to keep the pace set by Hoskins, who racked up 20.

Although in the grand scheme of things, it is just a novelty event, the atmosphere and the way Harper smoked ball after ball was incredible. The regulation time in each round is four minutes, so by this math, our hypothetical hitter would mash 46 home runs in four minutes (0.19 x 240 seconds = 46).

Eight sluggers, seven of whom are from the National League, will be pitted against each other in bracket form to determine the home run king.
