Celebrities offer Demi Lovato support after reports of hospitalization for apparent overdose

The 25-year-old singer-songwriter, who is now on the third leg of her Tell Me You Love Me world tour, was reportedly taken to a Los Angeles hospital after being found unconscious at her home on Tuesday, according to NBC.

The Los Angeles Police Department reportedly responded on Tuesday to a medical emergency in the Hollywood Hills, where Lovato lives. She is now being treated and her condition is not yet known, TMZ reports. CBS News reports that her recent song "Sober" is about a relapse after six years of sobriety where she apologizes for letting down her family and fans.

In her 2017 YouTube documentary, Simply Complicated, she opened up about how she began drinking and partying in high school at age 17, and how she continued to do so when she found fame on the Disney Channel.

The pop star made the revelation about the setback in a single, "Sober", released late last month. She had been sober for six years from alcohol, cocaine and Oxycontin, according to TMZ.
