Cop under investigation after ignoring woman's pleas for help from drunk man

He asks her whether she is an American citizen, even though Puerto Rico is a USA territory and its residents are US citizens. People on Twitter called the officer "worthless" and noted that Puerto Rico is a United States commonwealth and its people American citizens.

Last month, Mia Irizarry was celebrating her birthday at Forest Preserves of Cook County in IL. "You're not gonna change us, you know that?" he says, insinuating that she is an interloper.

Irizarry asks Officer Connor to help, saying "I am renting this area and he's harassing me about the shirt that I'm wearing".

Irizarry responded by saying that Puerto Rico is part of the USA, and then asked an officer for help. "If you're an American citizen, you should not be wearing that shirt in America". "Period", he continues. "You should not be wearing that in the United States of America".

Irizarry told the officers Trybus "approached her and made rude comments" while she was setting up for a picnic, and then Trybus "got in her face while pointing a finger at her", according to the police report.

'Officer, I feel highly uncomfortable, can you please grab him, please?' she asks the cop again.

Manchester United 'confident' of landing Chelsea's Willian
Willian's departure would surely annoy Chelsea fans, as the Brazilian is one of the most liked performers in the squad. What they are looking for is an explosive player to liberate Messi. 'People speculate a lot.

A female officer then intervenes and explains that Irizarry has a permit. She later says in the video, about the officer, "He didn't do anything". Not long after arriving, a middle-aged white man approached her and began to harass her about her shirt - a red, white and blue tank top designed like the Puerto Rican flag.

The park is now investigating the conduct of the police officer in question, who has been assigned to desk duty till the investigation reaches its conclusion.

"All people are welcome in the Forest Preserves of Cook County and no one should feel unsafe while visiting our preserves", the department tweeted.

Later, more police arrive and Irizarry says she still doesn't feel safe.

Ricardo Rossello, the governor of Puerto Rico, wants the officer fired.

Irizarry gives a statement to the police officer, Connor, who had stood by earlier. The Army Corps said the two other generators will remain "until PREPA determines there is sufficient power generation and/or transmission".

DoD Personnel Assist in Thai Cave Rescue Operations
Delight as the first of the trapped Thai boys freed from cave after more than two weeks deep underground. We've set a plan for four but if we want to rescue five, those responsible will have to adjust the plan.

The investigators are expected to interview the officer this week about the incident, adding that the investigation would wrap up soon.

"If you're drunk, you don't belong here", she is heard telling the man.

"I am appalled, shocked & disturbed by the officer's behavior", Rossello tweeted.

And, adding a bit of customer relations to help make things right, the county gave Irizarry zoo passes to the Brookfield Zoo, which is owned by the Cook County Forest Preserve District. Those born there are US citizens, although they can not vote in USA presidential elections. The man, later identified by police as Timothy G. Trybus, 62, continued hurling insults at her, asking if she was "uneducated".

"I am very sorry for the experience the young woman had to (endure) and I'm further troubled by the lack of response and action by the initial officer on the scene".

"This is not the America we all believe in", he tweeted.
