Houston Is Reportedly Making a Run at Carmelo Anthony

The departure appears to be the another domino to fall in the Rockets' impending pursuit of Carmelo Anthony, who is expected to receive a buyout of his contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

A league source confirmed the meeting.

Anthony, 34, opted into the final year of his contract in June, and is set to make $27.9 million next season.

Anthony and his representatives met with officials from both teams in recent days, per the report, in Vegas during summer league action.
