Roseanne Barr Shockingly Slams Valerie Jarrett’s Haircut In Bizarre Rambling ‘Hannity’ Interview

Barr said sorry for likening Jarrett to an ape in a racist tweet in May that caused universal outrage and spurred ABC to cancel her rebooted sitcom "Roseanne". "Here's what I have to say: Let's talk about it. Let's really turn this into a teachable moment", Barr said, telling Hannity she assumed Jarrett was Iranian because she was born in Iran. "And that was what was in my head".

Barr infamously tweeted a comparison of Jarrett to the film "Planet of the Apes" and the muslim brotherhood.

Roseanne Barr talks with Fox News talk show host Sean Hannity while being interviewed during a taping of his show Thursday in NY.

Barr insisted on Thursday that her comments were not meant to be racist, but were instead political. On Thursday, she again offered the excuse that she had taken the drug Ambien when she posted the offensive tweet, which she called "ill worded". And I'm sorry that you feel harmed and hurt. I never meant that, and for that I apologize. And for that I apologize.

"Plus, I'd tell her she's got to get a new haircut". "I feel like I have apologized and explained and asked for forgiveness and made recompense, that's part of my religion". Appearing on The View Wednesday, she said "this isn't what keeps me up at night", referencing more pressing nationwide crises than racial epithets hurled by an aging sitcom star.

During the conversation, Barr seemed frustrated whenever Hannity brought the topic back around to the tweet, and she reiterated how it cost her "everything".

She did, however, sign off on the spinoff, explaining that she "thought it was part of what was put before me to do" and felt terrible for people losing their jobs. During the live interview, he brought up both her issues with depression and multiple-personality disorder and her previous claims she was sexually abused by her father.

Television network ABC has announced "Roseanne" will return in October as a spin-off called "The Conners" with all the main characters except Barr.

Barr said Thursday she no longer believes her father sexually abused her, but believes she was emotionally abused by both her parents.

"I was so sad, and I'm so sad that anyone thinks that of me", Barr told Hannity. "Could you do your job?" she asked Hannity.

She added that the first few times she left her home following her firing from ABC she said 'never in my career of 30-something years have I felt the love and support of people on the street than I do now'.

She added that she invited Jarrett to join her appearance on Sean Hannity, which she refused.
