Olivia Newton-John: Grease legend, 69, diagnosed with cancer for third time

Olivia Newton-John was diagnosed with cancer for a third time previous year and cancelled her tour to complete a short course of radiation therapy.

Outside of her own battles with cancer, the disease has struck another member of her family: Her sister died six weeks after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain cancer in 2013.

But in the emotive interview Newton-John added that she does experience "moments" of despair.

"I'm one of millions in this fight, in this journey", Newton-John says.

It was sacrificing one career and some money and it was because of what I believe in and more importantly, who I believe in. She adds, "That whole "sacrificing everything" is insulting to those who really have sacrificed everything".

Olivia Newton-John has revealed she has cancer for a third time. The "Grease" star says for pain, she is taking cannabis oil, made from marijuana her husband grows in California.

She finds herself "lucky" to live in California and hopes that in her home country of Australia, medical marijuana laws will change.

Now, she says the treatment of choice is based on modern medicine and natural remedies. "I'm very lucky that I live in a state where it's legal and that I have a husband that is a plant-medicine man".

The Grease star was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992, and in 2013, while being treated following a minor vehicle accident, was found to have cancer in her shoulder.

Papadopoulos apologized for his actions, telling a judge that he had made a "dreadful mistake" and was eager for redemption. Papadopoulos also sentenced to a fine of $9500, 200 hours of community service and a year of prison conditionally.

The cancer news emerges on the eve of the release of her memoir Don't Stop Believin', in which she opens up about her latest health crisis.

"No, I don't go there".

The fearless beauty says she doesn't spend any time feeling sorry for herself, and is aware of how lucky she has been in life. I see as part of my mission.

"She told the show: "'There are other people out there doing much, much worse than me. I have all the animals that I adore. But she stressed that "I believe I will win over it".
