Pittsburgh Rapper Mac Miller Dies at 26

Ariana Grande has been forced to turn off her Instagram comments following the reported death of her ex-boyfriend, rapper Mac Miller. Miller's family recently issued a statement over the loss while sending thoughts to other members of his family, friends and fans.

Malcolm James McCormick described himself as a corny white rapper, but to many fans, he was a prolific lyricist, and to many in his industry, he was a genuine friend. In May, he endured a high-profile breakup with former girlfriend Ariana Grande and was arrested at home after driving into a utility pole, leaving his vehicle the scene and then testing over the alcohol limit.

His final album, Swimming, was released last month and featured collaborations with Snoop Dogg, Thundercat, The Internet's Syd, and John Mayer.

When the Pittsburgh MC first exploded into hip-hop in 2011 with his first album, Blue Slide Park - a wide-eyed glide of airy boom-bap beats and youthful rhymes that his growing grassroots fanbase turned into the first independently distributed debut to top the United States chart since 1995 - he became "the most Googled thing on the internet".

He was scheduled to launch a U.S. tour next month, and had tweeted about it on Thursday.

Her Twitter statement continued: "I am not a babysitter or a mother and no woman should feel that they need to be". "That's what I was experiencing at the time".

Maravilla and his friend Christian Toledo, 25, are both Filipino-Americans. "I really hope they'll never take it down". Something tells me that this is SO good, we'll see this poster in McDonald's stores nationwide.

"I dont know what to say Mac Miller took me on my second tour ever. She can't control his actions, he was a grown man, and it was his decisions that led him to where he is today". "Im completely broken. God bless him", said Chance the Rapper on Twitter.

In 2011, Miller wrote a song about becoming fabulously wealthy and, seeking a metaphor, entitled the song "Donald Trump".

It was grizzled determination more than natural talent (though there was plenty of that too) that made a rap icon of Mac Miller. Two years later he started the label REMember Music and released his sophomore album "Watching TV with the Sound Off".

With 60 percent of precincts reporting, he led video game developer Brianna Wu 70 percent to 25 percent, according to the AP. No Republicans were running, so only a write-in campaign in November could possibly stand between her and Washington.

The four-piece band that accompanies him on the song brings a jazzier groove than the album version, which was produced by the rapper with Jon Brion and Blood Orange founder Dev Hynes.

Miller has fought a long battle with substance abuse for some time now. His 2016 album, "The Divine Feminine", charted at number 2 on the Billboard 200 and featured guest appearances from Kendrick Lamar, Anderson Paak, and Ariana Grande.

According to reports, Ariana is "devastated" after hearing of Miller's death.
